In the last few years Shabana’s focus has been towards encouraging businesses to adopt the ‘Thriving At Work’ Health and Safety Executives’ recommended standards for mental health management in the workplace. She has worked with and within a variety of industries in private, charity and community sectors to develop systematic approaches to managing their workforce's mental wellbeing. She specialises in providing tailored, recruitment and employment practices that create a supportive and inclusive workplace culture while remaining socially conscious.
Shabana has successfully developed and managed several projects and services that have assisted people to overcome their social, health and disability related barriers within employment and training. Her clients have included Saracens RFC, Harrow Council , Barnet Council Public Health and Unitas Youth Zone.
As a co-creator of a successful mental health and employment training organisation and author of the STEPS suicide awareness training programme, Kevin has used his own lived experiences to create Ofqual-regulated qualifications, webinars and workshops as well as teams of MFHAers (mental health first aiders) that generate new skills for life. He has a broad occupational background working with businesses, central and local government such as the DWP and HMRC, and is a fellow of the Institute of Employability Professionals and Royal Society of Arts; all of which have informed his enthusiastic course delivery. He is often praised for his openness and vulnerability, with evaluations describing his courses as the ‘best that I have ever attended’.
Andy is a national trainer for MHFA England and an accredited suicide first aid tutor. He has delivered in excess of 500 mental health first aid training sessions and has spoken at numerous conferences on workplace mental health. Andy is a qualified occupational therapist and a Prince Practitioner and has provided support across various age ranges and professional sectors. He has used this experience to support major service transformation of service design and restructures, including improvements across Hull and East Yorkshire mental health services for occupational therapy students.
During his comprehensive career, Andy has worked within Parliament, financial and military sectors that extend to Clinical Commissioning Groups, NHS Provider Trust Staff, The Bank of England, RAF, The Royal Navy, Rugby Union (WASPS), and the Post Office, where he has successfully shaped collaborative working environments.
When working for Zimbabwe National Association for Mental Health, Bob used his Counselling & Psychotherapy Diploma to inform his specialism in cross-cultural mental health interventions. After establishing stress management, confidence building and effective working relationships within businesses in South London, he proposed the creation of the Twining Enterprise, a charity that supports people of all mental health conditions to find employment. He was subsequently named Chief Executive for his contributions having worked closely with a wide range of organisations in the private, public and voluntary sectors.
Bob has delivered training to Jobcentre Plus staff and managers, staff in domiciliary and residential care organisations, research bodies, welfare to work providers, youth groups and charities and after co-founding BDLD, was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts.
Tim’s training and coaching has helped organisations promote cultural change to encourage accountability, and move towards inclusive working environments. He specialises in process, personal productivity and team cohesion, with a particular focus on work design that impacts employee wellbeing. Tim has experience working with GE Healthcare, National Express, Action for Children, Kantar, and the International Institute for Risk & Safety Management. After working with him, employers have reported increased quality of project delivery.
Navroop is a qualified Stress Management and Mental Health First Aid trainer, CIPD HR Development practitioner, Coach and Counsellor, bringing together her qualifications and experience to shape training and influence organisation development. This success has led her to be a lead trainer in areas such as stress management, mental health, wellbeing, staff induction and manager training. Her interactive training and collaborative approach to projects has enabled her to effectively build forward thinking teams based on trust and commitment. Navroop has worked with Look Ahead, Imagine Independence, and Twining Enterprise.
Andra adapts her rich educational background in psychological therapy studies to support her role in Human Resources; she is praised for her passion for driving systemic development through positive practices and a tailored approach to adapting to both individual and organisational needs. Andra has worked as a private psychologist and a special needs teacher and therapist as well as regularly featuring as a guest host on the UK Health Radio Network.
